  • 7:30 AM: Pick-up from a central meeting point in Nairobi (details provided upon booking).
  • 7:45 AM – 8:30 AM: Drive to Oloolua Nature Trail in Karen.
  • 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Arrival at Oloolua Nature Trail, registration, and a brief introduction to the trail’s highlights.
  • 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Guided nature walk along the Oloolua Nature Trail. Explore the lush forest, visit the 20-foot waterfall, discover the historical 33-meter deep cave, and enjoy the serene bamboo resting point and papyrus swamp. Opportunities for birdwatching and photography will be ample.
  • 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Picnic lunch at a designated picnic spot within the trail. (Participants are advised to carry their own packed lunch and snacks).
  • 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Free time for further exploration, relaxation, or optional activities like jogging, reading, or simply enjoying the tranquility of the forest.
  • 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Gather and prepare for departure..
  • 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Drive back to Nairobi, dropping off at the initial pick-up point.

he price of KES 2,000 per person sharing includes round-trip transportation from Nairobi, entrance fees to Oloolua Nature Trail, and a guided nature walk. It does not include meals or personal expenses.

We recommend carrying comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing (layers are advisable), a packed lunch and snacks, at least 1-2 liters of water, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, a camera, and binoculars for birdwatching.

The Oloolua Nature Trail offers well-maintained paths that are generally suitable for most fitness levels. The guided walk is at a moderate pace, allowing everyone to enjoy the scenery. There are some gentle inclines and descents, but nothing overly strenuous. If you have any specific concerns, please inform Maggie Wild Safaris at the time of booking.
